Inside Sales Representative
POSITION SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for proactively identifying new business, managing inbound marketing leads, software maintenance renewals, supporting territory reps, and closing assigned opportunities. The ISR position will report to the Inside Sales Manager. Core goals will include generating web product demos/meetings, delivering software demonstrations, and consulting with customers over Teams while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect and qualify potential clients through cold calling, networking, and other lead-generation activities.
- Responsible for developing new strategic accounts and assisting in developing relationships with Key Accounts
- Research, prospect, engage, and cultivate new business from strategic end-user customers, partners, and 3rd party companies to grow overall market share.
- Ability to set and maintain scheduled meetings and presentations with both existing and potential customers on a weekly basis.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, chat, and e-mail. Assist potential customers during their evaluation process, create quotes, co-ordinate with channel partners, and help close sales
- Maintain accurate customer and pipeline records within CRM system and submit accurate and timely activity reports as required
- Conduct product demonstrations via Teams to potential customers
- Capture and share information regarding local market opportunities and identifying new business opportunities and channel partnerships
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of sales experience in a IT/Software/tech environment
- Experience with B2B sales, telemarketing, lead generation, or cold calling
- Ability to understand an organization’s business drivers, challenges, and pain points
- Ability to converse and consult with customers, providing educational value during the process
- Ability to learn data center management software products and demonstrate it via Teams
- Knowledge of Data Centers, and the operational day-to-day management of them preferred
- Able to build meaningful business relationships with key partners, customers, prospects, and internal colleagues
- Excellent listening, written, verbal, and remote presentation skills
- Confident and able to differentiate yourself
- Passion for selling (IT industry background preferred)
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude with strong work ethics
- Ability to use Microsoft Office 365, CRM (Hubspot), and other sales and marketing automation tools.
- BA/BS degree or technological certifications are preferred
